The benefits and practices of agile are well documented and understood when dealing with colocated in-house teams. Less clear are the best practices to make agile a success in large distributed projects. To make matters worse for agile is the increasing use off-shore resources. Distributed and off-shore agile remains a high risk option but can offer enticing returns when done correctly.
