IT Operations has been on a continuous journey toward improving its maturity by aligning the people, process, technology with the business needs. To achieve improved maturity under constant pressures of cost and business change is non-trivial. As a result, many organizations have embraced or are beginning to embrace IT asset management as a means of optimizing costs while supporting the goal of operational excellence and providing visibility into the financial management of the IT assets.
