Benchmarking is an important cost optimization tool that clients can use to evaluate and manage an outsourcing deal between themselves and the external service provider (ESP). In this current economic downturn, clients should make sure that the price and service levels of a outsourced deal remain fair and competitive. This can be accomplished by using benchmarking as the tool to validate the ESP price and performance and to make adjustments as needed. This tutorial provides advice and guidance in the use of benchmarking to optimize costs.
