Thomas has 17 of experience in IT consulting, Web technologies and IT operations. Since 2006, he has been the Chief Technical Officer for bwin, Europe’s leading online Sportsbook and gaming provider. From 2002 to July 2006 he worked for Amadeus Data Processing in Munich, building the e-commerce operations division, operating more than 150 airlines’ and travel sites’ e-commerce engines. Other past assignments include a COO position at a European application hosting company, senior network engineering and consulting positions at corporations and organizations in the U.S. and Europe including Energis, Global One, the European Commission, and the World Bank Group. Thomas holds a PhD in Telecommunications Economics from the University of Stuttgart, a Master's degree in Network Engineering from Ecole Nationale des Telecommunications Paris, a Master's degree in Economics from The American University, Washington D.C., and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Bayreuth University.
