Darrell Cavens is Director of Product Management for BizTalk Server and SQL Server at Microsoft. Prior to joining Microsoft, Cavens spent 9 years at Blue Nile (NASDAQ: NILE), the leading online retailer of Diamonds and Fine Jewelry, most recently as Sr. Vice President and CTO. Prior to Blue Nile, Cavens spent four years at Starwave, a Paul Allen company that developed and managed websites such as ESPN.com, ABCNews.com and GO.com. At Starwave he had various technical roles, most recently as Staff Engineer on the Advanced Technologies team. Prior to Starwave Cavens worked within the technology industry in Canada. Mr. Cavens attended the University of Victoria in Canada.
