Janelle Hill is a vice president in Gartner Research. Her current research area is business process management disciplines (such as modeling, analysis, measurement, process ownership/governance, etc.) and BPM-enabling technologies. Her current research agenda emphasizes the value of explicit process management techniques in comparison to past implicit (embedded) process management approaches. She also focuses on linking business process improvement objectives to enterprise performance goals, objectives and strategies. She works with BPM vendors, helping them to differentiate their products and expand their market, as well as with end users, helping them to understand the best practices in BPM and make appropriate technology decisions to achieve their process management needs.
