Luis Alvarez is President for BT Global Services Enterprise, the market unit that includes BT’s alternate local network provider businesses in continental Europe, the Middle-East, Africa and Latin America. He joined BT in April 1999 as Director of Multimedia and Internet Services. In 2001 he was appointed Country Manager for Spain and Portugal where he oversaw x5 revenue growth. In May 2005 he took responsibility for running BT’s Latin American businesses. Luis’ career began at Ericsson and later IBM. In 1987 he joined Banco Santander, where he held senior management positions including Banesto’s Director of Electronic Banking.
