Andy Weeks, Manager for Risk and Compliance for the Enterprise Information Security organization of Humana Inc., a FORTUNE 100 corporation headquartered in Louisville, KY, leads a diverse and talented team of 21 Information Security professionals and managers. Andy has been instrumental in developing this discipline for Humana, helping ensure the proper operation of company’s sophisticated security and compliance controls. Information security is vital to Humana's recent, rapid growth. Since 2005, Humana has nearly tripled its medical membership and now serves more than 10.4 million medical members in all 50 states as America’s second largest Medicare prescription drug carrier, and the fastest-growing Medicare Advantage carrier. Andy’s most significant accomplishments include: • Developing an enterprise control framework based on regulatory requirements (HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley, GLBA), security and operations best practices (ISO 17799, CobiT) and business requirements, • Serving as a key contributor in the design of the overall Information Security program at Humana, including organizational structure, operating strategies, and executive charter, and • Sponsoring Humana’s enterprise identity management program that automated the creation of user IDs and access to corporate platforms and systems for more than 30,000 users, resulting in increased security, cost savings and service improvement. Andy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Purdue University. A resident of Louisville, Andy enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, as well as reading and playing golf.
