Peter Williams
Chief Information Security Officer, Rapatoni

Peter Williams researched secure communications at University College London, before transferring to NASA Ames Research Center working for Sterling Federal Systems. The NASA initiative transferred cryptographic key management know-how to various civilian Federal government agencies. As Chief Architect in a dotcom startup known as Digital Certificates International – better known as VeriSign Inc – Peter Williams worked on standards and co-authored the book “Digital Certificates.” At another venture-backed firm called ValiCert, his work emphasized the need to enable consumers to independently validate certificates. Peter Williams worked on the secure microelectronics firmware of the Rapattoni “Lockbox” – enabling Realtors® to show homes for sale – before joining Rapattoni Corporation as CIO/CISO. As a 40-year old “SAAS” vendor working in the US Multiple Listing Service outsourcing marketplace, Rapattoni offers web single sign-on for both business to business and consumer to business federations serving about million Realtors® and their 100 million or so clients.
