Walt Oswald serves as the Vice President of Information Technology (IT) for the Motorola Mobile Devices Business. Mr. Oswald is results-driven with a strong background in all aspects of global IT operations including systems architecture, large-scale project management, continuous process improvements, disaster recovery, business continuity, information security, regulatory compliance, P&L control, budgeting, vendor contracts, and staff management. He has consistently applied his focus on technology innovation and best-practice operational structures to contribute significant value and ROI in key leadership roles while with Motorola.
He provides visionary leadership within the Enterprise space working with business partners such as Google, Microsoft, CSC while aligning IT with business, uniting diverse stakeholders around a common goal. He does this by leveraging next-generation technology solutions, leading turnaround initiatives to accelerate growth, resolving business challenges, all while improving operational performance. In addition to keen business acumen and problem solving skills, he achieves ground-breaking success in operations by building a culture of performance excellence, team cohesion, and reducing the overall IT cost.
In addition to his 17 years of experience at Motorola, Mr. Oswald has held various positions within the Telecommunications industry, such as Senior Director - Account Executive of Computer Sciences Corporation, Telecommunications Operations Manager for the Signature Group, and National Account Representative for American Network / ITT.
Mr. Oswald graduated from Roosevelt University receiving a B.A. in Marketing.
