Daniel B. Stang is a research director in Gartner Research, covering project and portfolio management (PPM) applications. His expertise includes PPM process definition, adoption and automation, as well as research on the R&D efforts and resulting products of the PPM software vendors in his coverage area. As part of his duties, Mr. Stang helps Gartner clients define PPM processes for their organizations and create strategies for automating them. He can help clients build PPM product shortlists based on their specific needs. His research includes overviews of PM and PPM technologies to help Gartner clients compare prospective vendor offerings while making software investment decisions.
