As CTO for core technology and anti-malware, Raimund Genes is responsible for building the engines that drive Trend Micro products—the core of Trend Micro’s technology. Raimund oversees research, analysis, and development of proprietary solutions such as Web Threat Protection and the Smart Protection Network. Raimund is a well-known IT expert and experienced speaker who represents Trend Micro at events around the world. He has published many articles in security-related magazines. Prior to joining Trend Micro, Raimund worked in the German air force for 12 years in radar guidance and aircraft tracking before receiving a master’s degree in radar guidance.
