Allie Young is a Research vice president and distinguished analyst in Gartner's Technology and Service Provider Research group. Her focus is on IT services and outsourcing, specifically for global trends and scenarios, competitive landscape, application outsourcing, and offshore/global delivery. She has contributed to IT services research for the past 15 years, monitoring key market trends, vendor strategies, user requirements, contract analysis and competitive issues. She has written extensively on such topics as the evolution of outsourcing, user wants and needs analysis, vendor strategies, new services development, and future scenarios of outsourcing. Ms. Young co-authored the book "Multisourcing: Moving Beyond Outsourcing to Achieve Growth and Agility." She participates regularly in speaking engagements at Gartner Events, as well as industry conferences.
