Dan Cass is Chief Technology Officer. He has worked for 1st Financial Bank USA since 2000. Mr. Cass has worked in both the financial and technical arenas of major financial institutions such as the Bank of Bermuda, Banc of America Securities, Wells Fargo and The Farm Credit System. At the Farm Credit System, Mr. Cass was responsible for engineering the technical relationship banking design architecture to support the business model for a $6 billion portfolio conversion. Among many technical reengineering efforts at the Bank of Bermuda, Mr. Cass also successfully managed and engineered the first Fixed Rate to Variable Rate mortgage program in a country wide rollout. At Wells Fargo, Mr. Cass was in charge of the Wholesale banking platform responsible for supporting systems that handled 60% of Bank revenues. Mr. Cass also directed the engineering effort for the wholesale bank’s first three intranet products. At Banc of America Securities, Mr. Cass was responsible for the first Web-Based securities platform development at the company. As the CTO at 1st Financial Bank USA Mr. Cass is responsible for world-wide I.T. Strategy and operations and has a staff of 125. Mr. Cass holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Nebraska, is a certified Oracle DBA and is currently a level II CFA candidate.
