Ves Kjenstad is Director of Outsourcing Service Management for Bristol-Myers Squibb. This is of a centralized, cross-functional team that manages externally sourced strategic services primarily within BMS Shared Services function. The department was setup in 2005 as a result of a major multi-tower and multi-business agreement and has since expanded in line with BMS sourcing decisions to include additional outsourced service agreements and business areas. The focus is to develop and execute core processes to ensure outsourcing governance program objectives are achieved. The team provides commercial and contractual guidance and oversight to mitigate risk and enable value realization and ensuring accountability in service provider performance. Ves has been with Bristol-Myers Squibb since 1997 and holds an M.S. from the University of Bergen, Norway.
