Thursday, 25 June 2009
01:15 PM – 02:15 PM

Speaker: John R. Phelps
Location: Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center - Osceola Ballroom 1-3
Session Type: Track Session

Most discussion in the past few years about server consolidation has centered on the x86 world and virtualization products such as VMware and Hyper-V. Server virtualization — the default in the mainframe world — is rapidly becoming a major technology in the Unix world to aid in server consolidation. This session evaluates the status and future of virtualization used for server consolidation in the non-x86 environment.
