She is an expert in the development of complex business and technology architectures in a variety of industries, including financial services and banking, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, distribution, and telecommunications. Ms. Lapkin is also one of the leaders of Gartner's context-aware computing research, which deals with the use of context information to improve the quality of an interaction. Ms. Lapkin joined Gartner in 2003.
